Tough loss for Gaston, but I don't have a problem at all with Koubek and I am happy that he is back on the court.
Big match for Mariano he needs to get the garlic and take out El Vampiro and he needs his serve to work and he can do well though Massu won their only match on a faster surface.
Vamos Mariano.

Hey everyone I am back at home (ok I was at home too the last two nights for four hours of sleep, but was way too tired to sit on the computer...) and can tell you all that our two tennis afternoons/evenings in Basel were unforgettable and very exciting !! Thank you Louise and Egg and everyone else for talking and listening to me re: going to Basel in the last few weeks. I worried way too much about everything, as usual !! I would have loved to return to Basel today to support Mariano against Massu, but I am sick and the ticket is too expensive... . But maybe if M makes the semis things may change Ok.... very short the most import latest Mariano news... Mariano played very well in his match against Hanescu. There were some really nice, long rallies, most of them won by our man . M was very motivated and of course the crowd loved him, it was a very nice match ! He played especially well in the tie-breaks, which was very good to see. The doubles match with Gaston was lots of FUN !! Loads of jokes and laughs between M and G.... They tried to wear partner-looks (white shirt with a red stripe...), haha . The first set was not really convincing, but the second set was close and very entertaining... Also, Mariano was coached by Hernan Gumy this week. We were not totally sure about it during M's single match, as Gumy sat too far away from us, but during the doubles we had a great view on him (and on other nice persons too ) and noticed Gumy and Mariano communicating by hand signs... M has also been seen practicing with Gumy this week. So, let's see if this relationship is only a Swiss Indoors solution or more.... More details will follow....(if you are interested) Vamos Mariano tonight !!!!

Thank you Corina that was great and of course we are interested as if we wouldn't be.
Gumy and Mariano that could work as a partnership. I mean you have Mariano who is down to earth and Gumy who has a very high opinion of himself, but he has done well with Canas.
