Mariano is in the Savannah, Georgia Main Draw with a protected ranking where he will play Santiago GONZALEZ (MEX) in the first round. Gonzalez is playing a 15K Futures Final in his hometown in Mexico, so he might be a little tired when he gets back. The two have never played each other. The match day/court/time are still T.B.D. Still no word on whether or not Mariano will play doubles.

The last time Mariano played on the green Har-Tru American clay he won the challenger in Bermuda, and the week before he lost in the final of Houston to Karlovic on the same stuff, where I had been watching and hangin' with him for two straight weeks!

Mariano will play his first Round match on Tuesday, and Santiago will have to play both Singles and Doubles on Tuesday, so let's get a win!

Yes, he played a 15K Futures event in his hometown and where he still lives, I guess so all of his friends could see him play.
He won 6-4, 6-4 and will now head to Savannah!

Mariano will go to Sarasota, Florida to play a challenger and then off to Roland Garros for Qualifying!
