I thought we needed a new thread  As everyone knows, TENIS PRO started again to be on air this fall The biggest difference to the old tenis pro is that Gaston Gaudio joined Mariano and Juan Chela as hosts of the programme Here is the link to the official page where everyone can view the latest programmes www.vxv.com/canal=tenispro Enjoy  I will just quickly tell what the highlights are of the different shows so far: - Mariano's and Gaston's trip to Las Vegas and their casinos visits - Marianos and Gaston's trip to Miami to do some wakeboarding - One of my favourite: A very happy Chela and M in the gym in Bs As Chela is doing lots of rehabilitation work after his surgery, then he shows his scar (it's below his waist and looks scary!) - Mariano and Gaston in Bariloche, snowboarding and having fun - Of course, Maradona is not missing either (there's a video with him having dinner with the guys) - The tenis pro guys in the Vilas Club, practicing and having fun - El Grodo Calleri being crazy and dancing in the airport Basically it is really nice to see all the guys again, having fun and joking around with each other. It shows so much how everyone is getting along very well with each other I am sure a lot of us are now eagerly waiting to see the result of Mariano's hard tenis pro filming work during his three weeks stay in Europe  I will let you know when those videos are available Have a nice weekend everyone!!! |

(and welcome back to your new season job!!! - ) I have a question though... just a little one... please bear in mind that I am the person that forgot when the US Open was on... so that's my excuse and after all - I WAS able to provide you with really useful information to make up for that fact.... here goes... WHAT SURGERY!!!!!!!!!!!! Looking forward to the next review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (oh yes.... it would be interesting to see the results of the European trip as that camera was seen out quite a bit in Madrid! ) |

WHAT SURGERY!!!!!!!!!!!! You know I will always be grateful for the really useful information Surgery... I am not sure, he had lots of injuries this summer, but I think it was something with the abdomen. He had surgery end of July I think and hasn't played since then. Let's hope 2009 will be a better year |

Mariano and Monaco watching the Nalbandian-JMDP match along with football player Diego Forlan (plays for Atletico Madrid and is from Uruguay). Mariano proposes Forlan to go out for dinner together, but the football player is not sure if he should accept it, as he has a match the following day..then M assures him that he meant ONLY dinner and that he usually has dinner at 9pm and is sleeping at 11 pm, so no nothing to worry about, lol Back on the Madrid practice court. Forlan plays tennis with Pico Monaco. He is a lefty and plays really, really well. Knowles and Bhupahti arrive and want to konw why Forlan plays so well and if he played tennis before he became a football player. Calleri tries to give an interview, but is always disturbed by rainbow man Back in Bs As, Gaston and Marcaccio singing. Gaston is on the "running machine" while analizying Feliciano Lopez's match in Madrid which is showed on the screen in front of him. Gaston mentions that Feli could be Argentina's rival in the DC final (how ironic is that!). Team Monaco and Team Nadal in the locker room in Paris before the doubles match Monaco/Rafa. Rafa tells that this is the first time he teams up with Pico since Bastad 2005 where they reached the semis. Pico remembers very well that they destroyed Nieminem and "el Lagarto" ( = the saurian = Robin Söderling we all know how much Pico "adores" Robin, the name is really fitting!) 6-3, 6-2. Then team Monaco/Nadal talk about the tactic for their match when David Ferrer enters the locker room. M accuses him immediately for having listened their talk in order to find out infos for Mar del Plata M admits that he doesn't even know the opponents of Juan and Rafa, as he was focused on the singles draw only. Tenispro 24 November 2008www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTtpsQM81b4Juan Chela in his element, singing in the car Lunch table in Madrid: Mariano, Canas, Monaco, Diego Forlan (the Atletico Madrid footballer from the previous shows), Jaite, Rainbow Man, etc. Mariano says means things about Rainbow Man who then takes revenge on M in the evening by scaring Mariano to death in the bathroom after M just got off the shower (this is M's 2nd tp shower appearance ) Marcaccio with Squillari and another guy on the cancha central of the Vilas tenisclub, talking about Davis Cup memories when Vilas used to play for Argentina and chanting like the supporters did for Vilas. Nice part with Mariano and Chucho in Paris. Chucho is relaxing in the lockerroom. He says that he saw Mariano VERY relaxed at Pico's match and he thinks that M has now as coach the calm the he lacked as player. M says that Monaco gives him a lot of calm (this was after the match Pico beat Safin)

They discuss how they will greet the Bryans at the end of the match. They also try to have a conversation with the Chinese taxi driver who is not really talking English Bercy lockerrom, Nalbandian and Arnold before their doubles match and after their match, which they won. Nico makes fun of Mariano's hairstyle. He says that he combs his hair and shaves, while Mariano does nothing. Nico fumbles in M's hair and face and M tries to push him away (they have a little battle ). M says laughing that Nico is the version of the "tidy Zabala" Team Tandil leaves the tenis venue in Madrid when a fan (Ana from Madrid who runs a Pico forum and obviously is a big Pico fan) arrives. M asks her if she wants to say something into the camera. Ana greets her friends in Bs As. M asks her if she knows the programme and of course she does. To M's delight she tells him that she has seen all shows in the internet M wants to know who her favourite player is and when she says "Pico" he calls him and Pico arrives and gives her a big hug. This is really sweet, lucky girl Tenispro in Shanghai. Andy Murray makes his fans happy, signing autographs, and he also has time to say a few words about his match for tp. Cuevas with his fans, he receives an unexpected hug from a female fan (really cute, Cuevas has a big smile on his face). The girl is so excited, jumping around Cuveas/Horna visit the market called Pudong in Shanghai. Gaston, Diego Gaudio (must be Gaston's brother) and Mariano in the Vilas Club. Gaston's brother tells that when they were small he gave Gaston a kick which made Gaston fall and break his wrist, which was Gaston's first injury. Juan signs, and signs and signs (even on a mobile phone) - he is very popular Vassallo and Mariano Puerta doing weight training in Paraguay. Back in Madrid. The tenistas are invited by Diego Forlan to enter the Atletico Madrid practice pitch and to play football. Needless to say that everyone has lots of fun, especially Pico (in the function of the goalkeeper) when he blocks a penalty by Senor Forlan himself To point out Pico's amazing performance they let Gianna Nanini's great song "un estate italiana" (this was the World Cup Italy 1990 song, I love that song!) play in the background. Lovely Everyone is very happy when leaving the pitch Mariano could have been a great footballer, too. The Tandilenses are very talented

Morejon talks about his personal best moments of Gaston. It was not Gaston's RG win, but Gaston's tournament wins in Nice and Maia. He tells that after Gaston won in Nice on Sunday he flew home to Argentina on Monday and flew back to Europe on Thursday in order to sleep two nights in his own bed. Gaston says he did that because he missed home The two Marianos (Z. and Puerta) practicing. M says that he owes his life to his tennis raquet and to tennis and that playing tennis is "lo mas lindo del mundo" Interview with Guillermo Vilas and Juan Chela. Vilas praises Chelita for his game and movement on court. Chelita is asked what the most crazy thing was he did when he was on tour and he mentions paragliding in Kitzbuhel. Tommy says that he probably won't be in the team. Pico, like the nice guy he is, says that Tommy would deserve to be in the team and mentions all his good 2008 doubles results :)Tommy predicts that Spain will win 3-2. Then Sebastian Grosjean (doing exercises on the bicycle) is asked about the DC final. Before answering who will win the Cup he counts the amount of Spanish and Argentine players in the room, haha . But he decides to say that Argentina will win 3-0 Tommy does not understand it because this would mean that Rafa loses a match! Tommy's coach is interviewed, he predicts a 3-2, but will only give away for which team in Bercy. Interview with Feli Lopez at Copa Peugeot in Bs As. He tells how great the reception was in Spain when the team was welcomed home after the final. And how tired everyone was in the plane back to Madrid after the victory party

Mariano Hood is there too and we learn that Mariano Hood became father for the second time, the baby is called Maximo, and that he is married to Daniel Orsanic's sister Back in Europe, Lyon. M talks to a lady who works for the ATP and she is very charming and tells that most of the players are friendly, above all the Tandilenses Team Monaco in Lyon, eating. A magician comes to the table and shows some magic tricks with cards. Gaston on the practice court in Bs As, mentioning all the players he would like to see again, Roberto Carretero, Alvarez, Albert Costa, Stepanek, Hewitt, Jim Thomas.
