There are some rumours going around that Vilas invited Mariano and Gaston to take part in the Copa Argentina, which starts on 11 December, Thursday. I hope we have confirmation soon. I know this is only an exhibition, but how long has it been since we checked live scores for one of Mariano's matches? It feels like an eternity!

___________________________________________________________ Summary of this article: If the new elected DC captain is Martin Jaite (he is one of the favourites for this function), Mariano will join him as captain. The reason to involve Mariano is his good relationship with both, Nalbandian and Del Potro. This new task would not interfere with Mariano's plans to keep his career going. Mariano has already planed the start of next year, playing four weeks in a row challenger tournaments The new DC captain will be announced next week. The favourite of the players are Jaite and Gumy, and the Argentine Tennis Association's favourites are Ricardo Rivera y Modesto Vázquez.

Even if it doesn't happen this time, he will be the capten one day! no? I would love to see a few Tandil guys in the DC team...
By the way, according to "Fue Buena", Mariano's "4 challengers" will be: San Pablo, Salinas, Iquique y Bucaramanga (http://www.fuebuena.com.ar/?p=3151)

The new DC coach is Modesto Vazquez, the favourite of the Argentine Tennis Association. He already was DC coach in the past and will turn 60 in a few days. So, the players's opinion was not taken into account. I totally agree with Reiko, Mariano would be a perfect DC coach and I am sure this was not the last time he was proposed for this task

Sorry, I guess I got too excited. Well, we live in Houston, Texas and we have a ranch about an hour and a half away so we are going up there with all of my big family to a party to the neighboring ranch, then we are going to do fireworks at our ranch, watch the times square demonstration, and go to sleep late. What about everyone else?

I think it is not a bad idea to start playing on clay instead of hard court. There is no pressure anyway when he starts his season HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE! May it be a healthy, happy and memorable one for all of us! I am doing nothing special tonight, just go to my friend's appartement. We will cook Mexican and then we will see what we are doing. Maybe going in town to watch the fireworks, but right now I am not so motivated to do that, as it is FREEZING outside ( I so dislike that!)! Enjoy tonight everyone
