Sorry, Corina. French tv is a very ugly world. We have a big tournament in Berçy and they don't even manage to show the matches! In fact, they would only schedule what they think was the best match of the day but late at night (around 2 in the morning!). So, if M's match is what THEY consider to be the best one, then, of course, I will record it. Can you just imagine that they didn't even show the DC semis integrally? I was mad!!!!!!!!! Only the semis and the final will be live. So... I would really like to help you but, as you can see, it mostly depends on M's performance.

1st game in 2nd set has been close. Mariano won his serve after Srichaphan got a breakball. Erased with an ace of which he alone has the secret!

Don't worry Choupi, I can understand... don't feel bad, at least you could express yourself loudly... I'm at work, so my suffering can be only in silence Well, now I hope that Mariano plays Copa Argentina in December and see him in Buenos Aires... fingers crossed...

Hi Mercedes! Thanks for your understanding post. Didn't help to forget he lost, but at least, I don't feel so all alone in my suffering... Just hope his match will be the one chosen by those tv commentators (I hate them!) and that I'll see him on my tv screen this time. It'll be late at night, so sorry for the neighbours! Haha... Btw, my cat's allright!!! Wow, my sense of humour is coming back! My mood is getting better....

Thanks everyone for trying to help me out, really sweet of you guys ! Guess what, German sports channel covered the second set live and my mum was so sweet to tape it for me ! M played well and fought hard, but unfortunately it wasn't meant to be :-(. But still, good match for Mariano to end the season !! He should build up on those two last tournaments. Mercedes, I agree with you, blue suits M the best, but he looked also good all in black in Basel.... I hope you will see M and his friends in Buenos Aires in December ! And Choupi, I think its great that we are so emotional while following a match, that's how dedicated tennis fans are !

Hi Corina, Thanks for the pics. He doesn't seem to be happy with his game on the 1st one. I'm so sorry. I was fearing that those french tv commentators would zapp M's match. And guess what? I was right! The only match of our famous tournament of Berçy that will be shown on tv will be the one between Mathieu and Malisse. I've got nothing against any of those two. I simply hate french tv! It's not normal to have so little coverage of the tournament taking place in Paris. It's so pityfull.... I'm quite ashamed to be french sometimes! So Corina, please, could you do a copy for me...I'm feeling so low right now!

Maybe I can catch it here and I didn't know! Thank your mum for me also! And I don't know if being so emotional while following a match is how dedicated tennis fans are. But what's sure with me is that it's the way I am! And it's not only the case for tennis but for many other sports! Poor neighbours!!!!Hahaha ;D ;D ;D

I watched the whole match and was a bit disappointed with Mariano, not because he didn't try his best, he always tries hard and fights on the court.
The thing was the match was there for the taking, he served very well, but sadly made too many errors at the wrong moments. I mean there was some good play, but there were too many times when he didn't make the returns on the second serve of Srichaphan which was frustrating.
Playing indoors isn't obviously his favourite surface, and the low bouncing court doesn't help either, but that was the frustrating things were the errors at the wrong times.
Srichaphan was too good and deserved to win this can't be doubted.
Have a good break Mariano and come back to the tour in 2005 all fresh and ready to go.

MARIANO AND PARADORN
These two players are two of the nicest people with beautiful manners and as everyone knows.... Mariano is my friend and Paradorn is my husbands friend. ln my opinion, they bought out the best in eachother, it was a really enjoyable match from the stands. I know M & P enjoyed the match..it was a happy game. M was very happy to reach the main draw without qualifying. Paris off court was lots of fun.. P match against Henman was terrible.... so... M brought out the best in P and P discovered Ms magic for us too. M had a wonderful welcome onto court and a standing ovation when he left.

MARIANO AND PARADORN M had a wonderful welcome onto court and a standing ovation when he left. Hi Louise, welcome back! You know, that's just the way we are here. We love those Argentineans and we try to show them how much! As for me, I'm still aching not to have been able to go there but that's life some would say... And I'm aching too coz I've just finished my live report of G's match against Lopez on the MTF board. He lost in 3 sets 7/5 3/6 6/1. Must swallow my tears! My 2 faves have lost and will leave Paris too soon.... Anyway, must accept it!

Mariano got a great ovation when he left the court, it was like he won the match and that was the same for Gaston as well.
